Formula to Calculate Gold Price of different Karats (22k, 18k, 14k)
Gold Price / Rate can be calculated using formula. Gold Karat is defined by percentage of Pure Gold in the Alloy, in simple terms 24k Karat Gold has 24/24 which means 100% pure gold in it and in 18k karat gold 18/24 part is of pure gold and other 6 part are other metal same in 14k gold 14/24 part is of pure gold and other 10 part are of other metal such as copper and nickel.
In order to Calculate the Gold Price, you need to specify the gold karat and the price of gold.
Formula to calculate Gold Price:
price = (weight in gram) * (price of 1 gram) * (ratio of karat)
Example, Let’s assume gold price is 5000 ₹, and want to calculate 22k Gold price then by using the formula
price = (10gm) * (5000₹) * (22/24)
price = 50000 * 0.91
price = 45500 ₹
